WOULD YOU LIKE TO LIVE IN A HOUSING CO-OP?
West End Housing Coop is welcoming applications for a 1st floor, two bedroom flat. Comprising; two bedrooms, living room, kitchen, bathroom, walk in storage cupboard and access to a shared back yard. This flat would be suitable for an individual or couple.
West End Housing co-operative is a small, friendly, not for profit housing organisation that offers decent housing at affordable rents. We have a total of 12 properties of various sizes in the Arthur’s Hill area of Fenham.
As a co-op we are self-governing and each tenant member plays a role on the management committee. Every-one who lives in the co-op also volunteers some of their time towards managing the monthly organising of co-op business, including; finances, repairs and administration.
We are welcoming applications from people who are in need of affordable housing, who are able to commit to attending monthly management committee meetings and who can help contribute towards the organisation of the co-op.
We will be hosting two open house events to give interested applicants the opportunity to view the property and to meet a couple of our co-op members.
Open House - Thursday the 2nd of May 7pm – 8pm @ 1 Croydon Road, Fenham
Open House - Sunday the 5th of May 2pm – 3pm @ 1 Croydon Road Fenham
Deadline for applications - Sunday 12th of May
A new co-op member will be selected upon housing needs but, just as importantly, upon some of who we feel would be most suitable to the well-being of the co-op.
We're looking for people who are looking to stay in the co-op for the long term; who will want to invest time and effort in ensuring the well-being of the co-op over a long period of time and for future tenants.
The rent amount (including water rates) is £87.80 per week.
